lil late, Phil's play calling.

Why is it, that Phil robbins played a ball control game and he is a moron, but when Tom Turner did it for as long as he coached he was a genius? can somebody explain that please? I know there was one bad play in particular but im hearing how stupid he was through the whole game with this scheme. Please, anybody, anywhere?

im just guessing rocky, but you probably remember as much as i do whenever we lost a game youd always hear at least one idiot questioning play calling or something

All i have to say is if Tom Turner had been calling the plays the selection would be different. Maybe a tightend reverse or little play out in the flats. He sure as hell would not have went for it on fourth down before the half last week with 4 seconds on the clock.

Gonna be a trip next year when Tom's boy calls those same plays and the PV/Appy faithful light up this board like a Christmas tree. Question: Have any of you Phil-basher's won what he has over the years? You guys aren't fit to shine the man's shoes as far as coaching is concerned. You all are just a bunch of armchair coaches who think you could do better. Win about 8 state titles and then maybe we'll listen to you. I know this is ironic coming from a Kelly fan with no love for the man personally,but a helluva lot of respect for him on the field. What the hell is wrong with folks these days-buncha ungratefuls. Ahhh what have you done fer me lately? The same bunch that glad-handed the shat out of him when he hoisted the bling are the same ones with the blades turned at his spine. Let PV have a year or two like we used to have,and listen to the ingrates ***** and moan wishing that the man was still there.

yes, and i established that, one bad call doesnt make a man a moron thats for sure. This man has coached subpar teams into victories they shouldnt have had, SURE he has been surrounded by unbelievable talent in the past and that accounted for a lot of his victories, but he has won without it too. I am from Appalachia and all i ever heard about him was pretty much horror stories until i got to meet him and talk with him a bit, he is a pretty good guy and an even better ball coach.

You guys have taken my post the wrong way. I too think Phil is a good guy, but i really dont think he is in the game at times this year,and for anyone to say he is would be crazy. This is nothing to do with him as a person. Example if you are in the game u hear nothing but what is going on down on the field and everyone had to see him turn around and clear the boys out of the way and yell at the PA announcer and tell him to be quite and let the refs make that call which was a 3rd down play that was short less than a yard and he announced 4th and 1 and instead of worrying about what ur next call will be, he is yelling at the PA guy to hush. Im just saying it has to be evident to everybody his mind is somewhere else at times. He is a good guy and a great coach thats why people is questioning him. He has made more than one questionable call this year. how many times are u going to run a fullback dive with 3rd and 8 and 4th and 5. Its not like u have Matt Stidham or Danny Dorton running fullback. Not counting having the box packed full of defenders.

As a coach, he's not a moron. As for the past couple of weeks, he's had people scratching their heads.
